    Dr. Vinod Patel Patel DVM
    Veterinarian & Practice Owner

    Dr. Vinod Patel is the owner of Royal Parkside Animal Hospital and He is the veterinarian that our patients see. Dr. Patel grew up with lots of dairy animals in farmer family. He loved to work with animals and was inspired by the animal love to become vet. He spent a lot of time working on neighboring farms and helping the animals in his life and wanted to become a surgeon.

    He did veterinary graduate from College of Veterinary Science in India in 1996. He worked for 11 years in mix practice. He moved to Canada in 2007. During studying of Licensing of Veterinary Practice he volunteered and worked at Westway Animal Clinic in Toronto to get experience. Later in Jan 2012, he received licensing of veterinary practice in North America. He began working for Animal Health Clinic in Sault Ste. Marie, ON as an associate veterinarian and, in 2015, he became the practice owner.

    Dr. Patel performs thorough examination, gives vaccines, does wellness and geriatric blood testing, discuss pet's nutrition, preventive care and parasite prevention. He has a special interest in pain management, internal medicine, geriatric care, surgery, dentistry and dermatology.

    He has a lovely family which includes his wife, Jaya, and two boys, Parth & Breeze. He also has a cats named Houdini and lovely Chocolate Seal Point Siamese boy Mocha. When Dr. Patel is not working, he enjoys reading, social- culture activities and spending time with his family and friends.

    Jaya Patel
    Office Manager / Veterinary Assistant

    She graduated in B. Arts from India, then worked as a teacher. She always stands behind with her husband in all stages of life and worked hard to support him and the family while he was upgrading his license exam. She has a lovely family which includes her husband, Dr, Vinod, and two boys, Parth & Breeze. She also has a cat named Mocha and Houdini. When Jaya is not working, she enjoys reading, social- culture activities, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

    Kaitlyn Marks
    Hospital Manager /Veterinary Technician / Receptionist

    She graduated from Northern College, with honors in 2013, with a diploma for Veterinary technician. Having animals all her life is what lead her to choose a career in the animal health field. Outside of work, she has her hands full with her 5-year-old daughter, Quinn. She has a full house of animals; a Newfoundland dog named Koda, a Boxer named Laker, a domestic shorthair cat named Chancho, a Persian cat named Gizmo, a Ragdoll cat named Bandit, and 2 guinea pigs named Maui and Hay Hay.

    Kanisha Bernard

    She graduated from Georgian college for vet assistant in 2017 and Northern College, with honor's in 2018 with a diploma for Veterinary Technician and Wildlife rehabilitation in 2019. She has had all sort of animal through her life. From big animals such dogs, cats, to pockets pet such as lizards, rodents and birds. Caring for those animals is what lead her to a career in the animal health field. She has worked in most animal related fields, from doggy daycare/ kennel, a breeder and groomers to pets store clerk. Currently at home she has a German Shepard/ border collie mix named Charlie, a Doberman name King Demon, a miniature Dachshund named Snoopy Doo and a cat named Matilda and a African grey parrot named Echo Lynn 

  • Breeze Patel
    Veterinary Assistant/Volunteer

    Breeze studying at university sometimes helps in organizing, etc. Breeze works in his spare time to gain experience with animals, spend time with his dad, and help with organization, administrative tasks, and IT.

  • Parth Patel
    Veterinarian

    Parth grew up surrounded by animals with his dad being a veterinarian. He decided to follow in his dad’s footsteps and become a veterinarian himself. Before pursuing his career, he helped in his dad’s clinic as an assistant. Doing tasks such as cleaning, monitoring patients, restraining animals, taking phone calls and booking appointments. Parth graduated as a Veterinarian from Bombay Veterinary College in India, in 2024. He is working on becoming a licensed Veterinarian in Canada. He has gained a lot of experience by helping in the clinic. He ultimately wants to specialize in Internal Medicine or Surgery.

  • Kyra Lee-Kuklo
    Veterinary Assistant

    She graduated from Georgian College in 2022 for the Veterinary Assistant program. Ever since she was young, she always had some type of furry friend running around her house, from cats to guinea pigs, rabbits, and one English bullmastiff named Harry. As she got older, she realized that she wanted a career where she would be able to help pet owners have their furry friends around for a while and get to see them every day. At home, she has a tabby named Sammy and a ferret named Ruffles. Recently, she started her own garden, and she enjoys it so much. In her spare time, she enjoys tending to her garden, reading, and hanging out with friends and family. Cooking and, of course, cuddling her cat and playing with her ferret.
